New Director Elected

ROMARCO MINERALS INC. ("TSXV: R.T.") announces the outcome of its annual and special shareholders meeting held on June 17, 2003.

Romarco shareholders approved Management's nominations for directors, including one new director. New to Romarco's board is Ralf Langner, C.G.A. Mr. Langner has been with Romarco since January 2003 as V.P. Finance. Mr. Langner has been a Certified General Accountant since 1990 and brings to Romarco over 20 years of accounting and financial experience, including over 15 years in the precious metals sector.

Also elected were incumbent directors David Beling, Diane Garrett, Leendert Krol, R.J. (Don) MacDonald, Joseph van Bastelaar and Robert van Doorn.

Former director Gary Nobrega did not stand for re-election. Romarco would like to thank Mr. Nobrega for his past service and wishes him well in his future endeavours.

Romarco shareholders also approved the granting of 150,000 stock options to Mr. Langner. These options are priced at $0.30 per share and expire June 17, 2008.
