Romarco Commences Drilling At Pinos Gold District, Mexico

ROMARCO MINERALS INC. (TSXV: R) is pleased to announce that its exploration drilling program has commenced at the Pinos Gold District in Mexico.  The 20 hole program provides for 5000 meters (16,400 ft.) of core drilling. This exploration assay data will be utilized to elevate the preliminary mineral resources.  This comprehensive drilling program was developed to test the deeper reaches of known veins on the Cinco Estrellas system of the Pinos property.  Romarco’s work has illustrated that vein grade improves with depth. Most Cinco Estrellas mine areas test material down to >150 meters, while 2007 drilling and underground sampling shows that grades actually improve at depths >150 meters.

Historically Spanish and Cornish miners conducted operations  on this vein systems of the Pinos Gold District. However, they were forced to mine only the relatively shallow portions (up to 100 meters) of the veins due to limitations of the equipment that was available to them  in those historic times. By utilizing modern equipment, mining the veins to significantly greater depth is possible.

The drilling contractor is Segeomex, based out of San Luis Potosi, Mexico.  Samples will be sent to ALS Chemex for assaying.

This program is currently being overseen and reviewed by Romarco’s Mexico Team, including Romarco’s Qualified Person on the project Tommy Thompson, Senior Consultant for Romarco as well Chris Candee, geologic consultant and 4 local employees.
