Romarco Underway in Mexico
October 19, 2006
ROMARCO MINERALS INC. ("TSXV: R") is pleased to announce that activities are well underway at its Pinos Gold District in Zacatecas, Mexico.
With the successful completion of the recent financing and having received all regulatory approvals pursuant to the private placement, Romarco aggressively began the necessary corporate logistics required for conducting an exploration and sampling program in Mexico. Romarco is in the process of finalizing the necessary administrative, regulatory and permitting requirements that are required prior to beginning its drill program.
After reviewing some of the project's available historical data, Romarco has selected ten drill sites where core drilling will test the continuity of the known vein systems at depth. Simultaneous with the drilling program, Romarco will be conducting a bulk sampling program from the underground workings for assay data and metallurgical testing.
Romarco has been working with RK Drilling and a drill rig is expected to be available for Romarco in approximately three weeks.
The Pinos Gold District comprises more than 3,000 hectares of multi-vein gold systems.
