Romarco Appoints Thomas Kilbey as Senior Geologist

December 5, 2006

ROMARCO MINERALS INC. (TSXV: R) is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Kilbey (B.S., M.S. Geological Sciences) to the position of Senior Geologist of Romarco. Mr. Kilbey will work with Dr. Tommy Thompson (VP Exploration) and be primarily responsible for the Romarco's Nevada projects as well as assist in identifying and acquiring quality projects in North and South America. Mr. Kilbey's knowledge in development of precious metals deposits in the US will be extremely valuable to Romarco as it advances its own portfolio of exploration projects and also seeks to acquire additional, advanced stage and near term producing assets.

Mr. Kilbey brings over 20 years of grassroots, mine, and project development exploration experience from all over the western United States and Carolina Slate Belt. Prior to Romarco, Mr. Kilbey has explored for gold, silver, and copper for major mining companies, which includes being district geologist for Newcrest Resources, Inc. (2001-2006), contract geologist for AngloGold (2000-2001), North Mining (1999) and Newcrest (1998-1999), senior geologist for Cyprus (1995-1998), geologist for Haile Mining [subsid. Amax Gold] (1992-1994). His time in Nevada began with Amax Gold (1989-1992). Much of his major company experience includes developing and prospecting sediment hosted, skarn, porhyry gold and copper deposits along with epithermal gold vein systems and bulk mineable gold-silver resources.

Romarco is an advanced stage exploration company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of precious metals mineral properties. Romarco's management and Board of Directors are comprised of senior mining executives who have extensive experience identifying, developing, financing and operating precious metals deposits in the Americas. It is Romarco's goal to become a producer through development of its own projects as well as through the acquisition of advanced stage projects. Romarco currently has five exploration projects in Nevada, one in Mexico and one in Peru.
