Romarco Terminates Option on Hog Ranch Project

February 3, 2005

ROMARCO MINERALS INC. ("TSXV: R" - the "Company") announces that it has given notice to Seabride Gold Inc. ("Seabridge") that it has terminated the option agreement on the Hog Ranch Gold Project in Nevada.

Romarco entered into the agreement with Seabridge in August 2003 (see press release dated August 7, 2003) and fulfilled its work commitments through December 31, 2004. Romarco drilled 6966.5 feet (2123.4 m) in 9 holes during the 2004 field season.

Diane Garrett, President & CEO of Romarco commented: "Romarco did encounter good drill intercepts from the 2004 exploration program at Hog Ranch, however, the gold values were shallow in depth and not consistent with Romarco's focus and objective of identifying deep bonanza veins. Romarco will instead, focus its efforts on the Buckskin-National Gold Project (Nevada), Cori Puncho Gold Project (Peru), Roberts Mountain Gold Project (Nevada) and the newly acquired Pine Grove Gold Project (Nevada). All of these projects have very tangible targets and Romarco plans staged drill programs on these projects in 2005, beginning in June and extending through late fall."
