Romarco Appoints Don MacDonald to Board of Directors

ROMARCO MINERALS INC. ("TSXV: R" - the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr. R.J. (Don) MacDonald to the Board of Directors.
Mr. MacDonald is the Senior Vice President and CFO of NovaGold Resources Inc and has over 20 years of experience in the mining industry. He was previously CFO of De Beers Canada Mining Inc. and Dayton Mining Corporation, and at Granges Inc. Mr. MacDonald has been directly involved in the operation or development of ten mines in North and South America. He was also instrumental in the completion of over US$500 million in international mining project financings and US$500 million in mining mergers and acquisitions. Mr. MacDonald holds a Masters degree in engineering from Oxford University and he is a chartered accountant.
Mr. MacDonald served on Romarco's Board from November 2003 to June 2005. At the company's Annual General Meeting in June 2005, Mr. MacDonald did not stand for re-election due to other work commitments. As a director, Mr. MacDonald is being granted 400,000 options in the capital of the Company, that being the amount of options held by Mr. MacDonald at the time of his departure from Romarco in June 2005.
